TEDxGoldstar Interactive Host - I've got the BURNING answer!

I would LOVE to be one of the interactive hosts for #TEDxGoldstar in Los Angeles. I'll bring ME to #TEDxGoldstar!!! A vivacious woman, that is friendly, outgoing and will be your 'wo'man on the floor. I'll chat with people, ask insightful and at times goofy questions from fellow attendees and upload them to the site using my flip or iPhone. I'll get people to talk and blog/twit/Facebook/Myspace/etc about the event not simply while at the event but when they get home. #TEDxGoldstar will be on the tip of everyone's fingers as the host to the official LA event! Pick me!!!

I didn't see this but have to agree with Star. No point in attacking/fighting her. Just remind people about her charity and rise above NeNe's pursuit of fame/money by being a crass loud awful person. When you have no skills or education you don't have that many options to make money. She's chosen being a 'black reality star' ie loud, angry 'black woman', crass, always fighting and cursing to fill the void of the Black Woman Characterization.

Urghh my landlord drives me nuts!

I'm so ticked off. I got home and noticed that one of my locks were unlocked (I always lock both) and I thought that was weird. I walk in the apt and KNEW someone had been in my place. My bag had been moved, my large vase had been moved and my plug to my computer had been stepped on! I also notice that part of the floor had been removed. Don't they have to notify you that they are entering your apartment????

I'm going to call tomorrow and let them know that I expect to be notified if someone is coming into my apartment!

Looking pretty on a cool wednesday

Happy Wednesday Friends. I decided to give my contacts a break since my eyes felt awful yesterday after wearing them all day. I'm going to follow my doctor's suggestion of slowly getting my eyes acclimated to contacts. But most people didn't seem to notice that I had my contacts on but the few who did said that I had pretty eyes and that I looked nice. I do love compliments .. hint hint! Since I'm wearing my glasses today I decided to do a more dramatic makeup today since I'm not going to the gym tonight. Instead I'll either finally work out with my Wii or I'll go for a long walk and enjoy the brisk cool night!

My makeup today is my Aveeno Sunscreen (70 SPF) and Make Up Forever Matte Foundation (37007) as a tint (I dot on 4 dots of foundation with my sunscreen), Three Custom Color Concealer under my eyes (7) and to fill up my eyebrows I have Sephora Eyeshadow (Brown). I have on Ulta Eyeliner (Black) on my lids and my L'Oreal HiP makeup lines Bright Shadow Duo (Flashy) and Shocking Shadow Pigments (Exciting - 102). I lined the top of my lid close to my eyelashes with the Ulta Eyeliner, than the Turquoise shade on my lid and the cream on the crease of my eye. I took the HiP Shadow Pigments above the iris on my lid and below my eyebrows. On my cheeks is Make Up Forever blush (Red) on the apple of my cheeks and Clinique High Impact Mascara (Black) and a dense brown lipgloss (can't read the label). To set the makeup I have my Make Up Forever HD to set all of my makeup.

Starting the week off right at #Pink Iron

I'm so pleased with myself I went to Pink Iron for my semi private training. It was so hard core. I had to run up to Fountain and I tried but it was too much for me so I walked. Than I did sit ups, push ups and knee bends. It was a major work out and my knees were able to keep up so am pretty pleased with myself. We did so many sit ups that my stomach felt like it was going to cramp with my muscles having to work.

I'm so happy that it's my regular store that I go to every week so the staff knows me. I was in their shopping tonight for lunch/dinner salad fixings when one of the staff told me that I hadn't closed out bill the last time I was shopping. So I said I'd check in with the manager on the way out. I spoke with the manager and it turns out I had been over charged by $40 so they credited my account!

Lucky day for me that the staff is honest and will fix mistakes!!!!

Fashionista Color Presso on lips

Another day another dollar in pursuit of 'beauty'. Today is a Monday and I have again tried a mix of new and old makeup for a new look. Today I started with the L'Oreal HiP Teal Kohl Eyeliner that I used to line the top and bottom of my eyes. I decided to try the L'Oreal HiP Bright Shadow Duo in Flashy (318). I put the light golden yellow cream color on my lid and the green color on my crease up to my eyebrow. I wanted my eyebrows to be a little dramatic so took Sephora Black Eyeshadow and filled them in a little. To really make my eyes stand out I finished with Clinique High Impact Mascara in Black (01) that really makes them look thick and long!

Shine Struck Liquid Lipcolor in Zealous

I wanted a rosy affect on my cheeks so used my bronze Aveda Cheek Creme in Uruku (bronzey reddish brown -- almost like rich earth/clay) on my cheekbones and than Sephora Body Paint (810) on the apple of my cheeks. The Body Paint has a pearly gold iridescence that really makes my skin glow.

I like my lips to be shiny but not too colorful so brought to L'Oreal Lip Colors to try out. The first picture is with the L'Oreal HiP Shine Struck Liquid Lipcolor in Zealous (260) it's almost a reddish peach. I than tried out my new L'Oreal HiP Color Presso in Fashonista (380) that is a very shiny pearly red (looks GREAT on me). This one got a reaction from TWO guys. Both said 'hi' and flirted with me. So will be wearing more brighter colors from now on! I think the combination of a great smile and bright lips is very appealing to the fellas!

As you can see my hair is growing like a weed but is at that weird length where it's just ... well 'sproinging' in every direction! But I like the twists, coils and curls. They make me look AND feel unique!
